Introduction

Following studies in Fine Art gaining experience in painting and sculpture, my career began teaching in colleges of art. For some twenty-five years this was a period of a shared enjoyment and enthusiasms with both fellow staff and students and a time for making works primarily in sculpture. Then from 1974 the medal became a focus of expression that has offered stimulating and challenging opportunities I am grateful to have found.

The texts within these pages hopefully give some insight into these years.
